Why CHUvellar exists
The Schedule of Planning Fees is a detailed document, and working out a fee from it takes time. CHUvellar turns it into a short form: choose your project, enter the size, and see an estimate with every charge listed on its own line. The aim is that you know roughly what to expect before you visit the planning office.
Where the figures come from
The rates come from the Schedule of Planning Fees of the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, Awka. We use the schedule as it was supplied to us. Where the schedule is unclear or looks like a printing slip, the estimator and the guides say so instead of guessing quietly.
How an estimate is built
- The planning fee is the rate multiplied by the quantity, such as building volume. If the result is below the minimum rate in the schedule, the minimum is used.
- Fencing and other charges from the schedule are added on top.
- The estimate also shows a stamp for new clients and an operational fee. Each is shown as its own line, so you can see exactly what makes up the total.
What CHUvellar is not
CHUvellar is an independent tool. It is not an official Ministry service. It does not process applications and it does not collect planning fees. Amounts shown are estimates, and the planning office confirms its final fees when you apply.
